John Lanier

John Lanier is the President of North American Technician Excellence (NATE) where he directs all of NATE’s training and certification programs and oversees NATE’s daily operations. Additionally, John is the COO of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). Prior to joining the NATE team, John held a variety of executive leadership roles, most notably as Senior Vice President of Operations at the National Federation of Independent Business. Throughout his career, John has gained valuable experience in operations, sales, member benefits, human resources, and information technology. Originally from Minnesota, John now lives with his wife Samantha in northern Virginia.
